Andrew Michael Dix was born Friday, January 26, 2024 at 6:13am. He weighed 9lbs 5oz and was born at home in Halethorpe, MD.

He was able to meet his parents, brother, grandparents, and family friends within hours of his birth.

Andrew is a sweet and smiley boy who loves music, snuggles, food, and is absolutely enamored with his big brother.

His first year  isn't over yet - but Andrew is taking off so fast.

He started eating solids at 4m and has gobbled up everything that's within reach with great enthusiasm. We like to say that his rule for happiness is check his diaper, is he tired, bottle in mouth - he's good.

He's growing so fast! He was barely in newborn clothes, and by 6 months he was wearing 12m clothes.

By 6 months he started sitting up independently  He was crawling on October 6th (8 months), was climbing up stairs by the 14th, and consistently cruising around by the end of the month. He's taken his first independent steps - where he didn't realize he wasn't holding onto mom's legs anymore, but he hasn't repeated it yet. (November 2024 at 9 months)

He was holding his own bottle by 5 months. He's working on his self-feeding skills. He has the "pincer" down, but until about 8 months, getting it from table to mouth was a fun adventure of feed the dog. at 9 months he can eat a whole (soft) pear by himself if we just hand him the uncut fruit, he's very independent and wants us to just put food in front of him so he can stuff it all in his mouth (and then in his hair... and all over his clothes - he rips off bibs)

Andrew loves swimming. He's been in the pool, to the beach and the gulf - and he's so extremely happy to get into the bathtub (and SO grumpy when we pull him out)

There's really no point in me listing off his favorite foods because it would just be a list of all foods in general.
