0-6 Months
You ate so well, gulped down your bottles - and though you left the hospital with a little bit of jaundice, you quickly got rid of it with dirty diapers. We got you home and you met Jaz dog first thing. You slept alot - and cuddled a lot, ate a lot, peed a lot. you had ALL the gas that hurt your poor tummy. We tried drops, massages, chiropractic, special bottles, putting you on top of the dryer, the only thing that seemed to help was to bounce you up and down in our arms (which really really illustrated to us how out of shape we were, because you weighed all of 7lbs and we were winded...)
Finally - you grew into your digestive system. You started developing a personality, loved music and laughing. We call you our roller-coaster baby because you love to be swung around upside down. You're in love with Jaz dog, the cats - and you have a favorite little stuffed dog/blanket that we call "dogdog" and we had to buy 3 of them so you'd always have one clean. You're a huge fan of the "peek a boo" elephant that your Uncle Reid and Aunt Sam got you. Baby Einstein makes you the happiest of happy, and you give the best snuggles. You're so eager to learn and move. Tummy time is NOT your favorite though... Books help.
At 5 months old you became a world traveler when we went to visit Kristin, Michael, and the Fischer kids in St. Gallen, Switzerland. We flew direct on a flight from DC and you got the bassinet seat - which we discovered was more just a receptacle for all of your stuff... you preferred to explore your surroundings, smile at every single person on the plane, and then have a blow-out all over mommy... While in Switzerland we discovered how much your little body did not adjust well to timezone changes, but we also discovered that you have a love of European croissant. We did a bunch of amazing things and you soaked it all in and were such a champ even though nights were hard and naps were sparse. We rode on trains through the Alps, we had fondue in Lucerne, stayed at a beautiful hotel in Montreaux that was on Lake Geneva and overlooked the mountains. We went to a Christmas market in Austria! I think your favorite thing was getting to play with Gabriel and Olivia though.
